Chiltern Cottage
A Semi-Detatched Grade 2 Listed Flint Cottage in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Greenbelt.
We developed two schemes for this cottage, a large scheme that added a rear extension and additional bedroom at first floor, and a small scheme that limited the works to reconfiguring the ground floor without an extension.
Both schemes were received well by the planning and heritage officers at a Pre-Application Enquiry - the larger scheme was acceptable for the Listed Building aspect and the Heritage Officer liked the design. The client decided to progress with the smaller scheme for now and might progress the larger scheme at a later date. The small scheme was submitted for Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent and recieved these approvals shortly afterwards.
Our proposals will make a really good improvement to the interior living space for relatively little cost, making use of the garage to create an attractive open plan kitchen and dining space.
